Our space. Your people.

We need more places to gather. To talk, share ideas, read together, and spend time with each other. Our cafés sit empty after seven, and keeping those spaces closed when people could use them feels selfish.

So we're opening our doors. Book a Poetica location for your gathering after 7 PM.

We have bills, and lately they seem to grow overnight. If you can contribute, it helps us keep the doors open. If you cannot, we're ready to offer the space for free. We mean that.

Poetica is a place everyone should be able to enjoy.

How it works

    Choose your space

    Pick a location and check its calendar for an available evening.

  2. Step 2

    Tell us about your gathering

    Share your plans and expected attendance, then choose a contribution or the free booking option.

  3. Step 3

    Send your request

    We'll email you once your request is approved. If you choose to contribute, payment details will follow approval.

Your reservation is confirmed only after approval.

Contributions start at $200 and help us keep these spaces available. If paying isn't possible for you, you're welcome to book for free. Nothing is charged now. If you choose to contribute, we’ll send payment details after your gathering is approved. A free booking skips checkout entirely.

The short version of the rules

  • Gatherings begin no earlier than 7 PM.
  • Everyone must finish cleaning and leave by 9:30 PM.
  • Respect our neighbors and keep sound at a considerate level.
  • Leave the space clean and return moved furniture.
  • Follow the confirmed capacity for the location.
  • Treat staff, guests, and the space respectfully.

Questions

Does a request guarantee the space?
No. Submitting a request starts a conversation. We review each one and email you when it is approved or declined.
What if paying is not possible for me?
Choose Book for free and submit. We will never ask you to explain it.
How much is a contribution?
Contributions start at $200, with $300 and $400 offered as well, or you can enter your own amount of $200 or more. Booking for free is always an option.
What kinds of gatherings work here?
Book clubs, poetry readings, creative meetups and small neighborhood gatherings tend to fit well. Not every kind of event can be hosted, so tell us what you have in mind.
When do we need to be out?
Everything, including cleanup, finishes by 9:30 PM.
How do we get in?
Access instructions are sent to the organizer before an approved gathering. They are never posted publicly.
Can we share photos afterward?
We would love that, and tagging us is welcome, but posting is entirely optional.
